You’ve accept yourself totally in all imperfections till you’ll realize your existence has not imparted people around you not even yourself. So many areas you’ve limited yourself of being incompetent in carrying out a specif task not even one. Dreams, talent, skills and visions had been exchanged with fear, self-hatred and rigidity of mind. Do you know these have a significant effect in your daily life which may pare-venture affect your health?. Do you?
Following are 4 common reasons you place unnecessary limitations on yourself that keeps you from living a purposeful life which has actually affected your health unknowingly.
This is also called self loathing this refers to an extreme dislike or hatred you you have towards oneself. This also brings angry or even”Prejudice” against oneself. The term is also used to designate a dislike to oneself.
Robert Firestone says;
The anti-self is an internal enemy residing in your mind.
This anti- self speaks to you through self-criticism, self-denying, or even self-soothing. This thoughts is also known as the critical inner voice, the purpose of which is to hold us back and keep us in our place.
The voice is shaped by early life experiences, ways you were viewed, trained and treated while growing up.
This also affect our early environmental influences. If you were miserable and lonely, you may grow to feel unworthy or uncomfortable in a socialistic manner .
You may also imitate or take on the attitudes that your early caretakers had toward you. If they were self-hating, timid, or depressed, you may emulate these traits or view yourself as having these same characteristics in adulthood
So, don’t hate yourself and don’t hate others also. You can still bring the best out of you. Learn to drop the hatred and accept yourself totally and love yourself as you are and love others also as they are. Self acceptance and self love are two keys to a normal and happy living as well as to a happy being.
Comparing yourself with another person
when you compare yourself with others then you will always find people who are better than you. This comparison leads to division and create inferiority complex e.g. if you compare yourself with people who are doing better than you then you will have inferiority complex. so avoid the comparison.
Remember, everybody situation is different and we all are unique in our ways.
So, you cannot be good in all things. Looking at yourself not worthy anything you might be a loser in all. e.g. someone who devotes his whole life to make money might become rich in the end but he will have to sacrifice many things for it like spending time with family or friends.
So nobody can have everything. Accept the situation totally wherever you are. You are in that situation because somewhere in the past (or in past lives) you have made choices which have led you to this present situation. so don’t compare with anyone. instead take responsibility of your present situation and life.
A negative self-image is unpleasant and destructive life to one’s health. This a challenge you have to work on because it destroy one’s relationship it.
We start to make rules for ourselves and our lives based on old defenses. and your believe is that it will protect you not knowing is hurting your health.
These defenses are often adaptations you carried from your childhood that is now limit you in adulthood. Being quiet in you house may have kept you from getting yelled at as kids. Now acting timid as adults can keep you from being your real self and getting to know people on a deeper level.
Similarly, losing your temper may have been the only way to feel heard by your parents, but yelling at our partner or spouse will only push them further away. So, be flexible enough to have a better life living.
fear is usually at the root of what holds us back
Fear of the unknown or unfamiliar, fear of failure, fear that our critical inner voice will be proven right or overpower us, fear that we will have too much to lose or that we will have to face pain or rejection. The truth is you’re much more resilient than you think.
There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
( Paulo Coelho,
That same inner voice that tells us we can’t handle obstacles feeds our fear. But in reality, life is both joyful and painful. The more fully you live the more you love, the more sadness you’re bound to experience. This fear also causes sleepless night which has made some an handicap in carrying out daily activity. Fear causes discomfort, stress, limitation which could actually affect your health.
Our inner critic shields us from feeling the pains and joys of existence. It keeps us in a chronic state of numbness or dissatisfaction. To face our fears, we must consciously identify and actively ignore this voice. Then, you can live a life as aspect ed.
